The effect of hydrogenation on the fracture of Ti2AlNb-based alloy during ball milling

In this work we have studied the effect of phase composition and microstructure a rapidly solidified Ti2AlNb-based alloy containing hydrogen on deformation during ball milling production fine-dispersed powder. Hydrogen is introduced into up to concentration 2.0 wt%. The X-Ray diffraction (XRD) analysis Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) show that has following compositions depending content: β + O, β/β-hydride, β/β-hydride intermetallic hydride (Ti2AlNbHx) or single-phase hydride. It found in hydrogenated O small amount strong decrease ductility occurs, but does not affect synthesis Efficient been achieved when content was 1.2 wt% exceeding value transformation from H-saturated solid solution observed formation single occurs.
